Summer Solstice Salon

Join Kate Sonders Solomon and Michelle Adams in the charming upstairs private dining room at Saint George Bistro for a botanical workshop to celebrate the blooms of Spring and Summer.

You'll be welcomed with a Michelle’s favorite beach drink, a summer gin spritz, and Saint George’s perfect little gougères. Then we'll head into a natural dye tutorial from Michelle. Using last season's dried flowers, traditional dye plants, and fresh flowers from Michelle's garden, you will create your own natural bundle dye. Versatile organic cotton bandanas will be provided--great as a neck or headscarf, headband, or table linen for your home.

As the flowers meld with the fabric, we'll move onto a cooking project with Kate. You will learn how to make a fresh pasta pressed with edible flowers and herbs, and we'll brighten things up with a seasonal farmer's market salad. We will finish the meal with an easy dessert. Kate's recipes are simple in technique, yet complex in flavor--always the best combination of delicious and beautiful.
